Transportation

We offer professional transport of agricultural commodities by individual train transport directly to the final destination. We ensure reliable and efficient transport of cereals, oilseeds, feed, and other agricultural commodities with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, and adherence to agreed deadlines.
- Our goal is to offer a reliable "door-to-door" logistics solution that will support your business and ensure a smooth flow of commodities from producer to customer.🚆 1. Covered hopper wagon
- The most common type of wagon for transporting grain.
- It has roof filling openings
- Bottom hoppers for quick unloading
- Protects the cargo from moisture
- Typical parameters:
- Load capacity: 50 – 70 tons
- Volume: 60 – 100 m³
- Train length: 20 – 30 wagons
- 👉 The entire train carries approximately 1,500 – 2,000 tons of grain.
- 🚆 2. Open wagon
- It is used less often (especially if the cargo is covered with a tarpaulin).
- Lower weather protection
- More suitable for feed or raw materials
- Typical parameters:
- Load capacity: 50 – 65 tons
- Volume: 55 – 85 m³
- 🚆 3. Intermodal container wagon
- For packaged agricultural products (big bags, sacks, processed products).
- Standard containers are transported
- Flexible logistics (train-ship-truck)
- Capacity:
- 1 wagon = 1–3 containers
- Entire train: 40 – 90 TEU
- 🚆 4. Grain unit train
- It is not a type of wagon, but a way of organizing transport.
- 100% identical wagons (mostly covered hoppers)
- Goes directly from loading to port without reloading
- Used in major exporting countries (USA, Canada)
- Typical parameters:
- Number of wagons: 50 – 120
- Capacity: 4,000 – 12,000 tons

We offer reliable and efficient shipping of agricultural commodities to international markets. We provide transportation of cereals, oilseeds, pulses, feed, fertilizers and other agro-commodities from the port of departure to the port of destination anywhere in the world.
- We mainly use the following types of ships for the transport of agricultural commodities:
- Bulk Carriers (bulk cargo ships) - ideal for transporting cereals, corn, wheat, soybeans and other bulk commodities.
- Handysize - smaller bulk ships suitable for regional ports with limited capacity.
- Supramax and Ultramax – versatile medium-sized bulk carriers with their own cranes, suitable for flexible cargo handling.
- Panamax – large-capacity ships designed for mass transport of commodities between continents.
- Post-Panamax – even larger units for maximum efficiency in large volumes.
- 🚢 1. Bulk carrier
- The most common type for transporting grain and feed. The cargo is loosely loaded into the holds.
- Main size categories:
- Ship type Deadweight (DWT*) Typical cargo volume Usage
- Handysize 15,000 – 35,000 t ~20,000 – 40,000 m³ Smaller ports, regional trade
- Handymax / Supramax 40,000 – 60,000 t ~45,000 – 65,000 m³ Common in grain transport
- Panamax 65,000 – 85,000 t ~75,000 – 95,000 m³ Main routes (USA–Europe, Brazil–Asia)
- Post-Panamax 85,000 – 120,000 t ~95,000 – 130,000 m³ Larger volumes between continents
- Capesize 150,000 – 200,000+ t ~170 000 – 220,000 m³ Mostly ore/coal, less often cereals
- *DWT = deadweight tonnage (maximum cargo weight + fuel + supplies)
- 👉 Handysize, Supramax and Panamax are most often used for agricultural crops.
- 🚢 2. Self-discharging bulk carrier
- They have their own unloading system (conveyor belts)
- They are used in areas with poorer port infrastructure
- Volume: 20,000 – 70,000 DWT
- 🚢 3. Container ship
- They are used if the goods are packaged (e.g. in big bags or sacks).
- Capacity is given in TEU
- Small: 1,000 – 3,000 TEU
- Large: 10,000 – 24,000 TEU
- Not the most common way for large volumes of grain.
- 🚢 4. River barge
- They are used on rivers (e.g. Danube).
- Capacity of one ship: 1,000 - 3,000 tons
- A pusher tug can push a set of 10,000 - 15,000 tons
